Structural work is the part of a job where the number is not only about cost. A slab that is short by a bag looks bad; a ramp that is short by a foot fails an inspection, and a footing that is short of frost depth fails a winter later.

So the tools here behave differently from the material calculators. Where a figure is set by a published standard, they use the standard and say which one. Where a figure varies by jurisdiction — frost depth, minimum post depth, when a retaining wall needs engineering — they will not invent a national number, because there isn't one. They tell you what governs and send you to the body that sets it.

That is a deliberate limit rather than a gap. A calculator that prints a confident depth for a footing has told you something no one can stand behind, and on this kind of work the confident wrong answer is the expensive one.
