Estimates are for planning

The quantities and costs produced here are estimates for planning purposes. They are not a substitute for professional engineering, structural or building-code advice. Nothing on this site should be relied on to determine whether a structure is safe, adequately sized, or compliant with any regulation.

Verify quantities against your supplier's own figures before ordering. Bag yields, coverage rates and material densities vary between manufacturers, between product lines, and with moisture and storage. The figures used here are cited on each page so you can check them against the product you are actually buying.

No warranty

The site is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. We take care over the constants and the arithmetic, and we publish our sources so they can be checked, but we do not guarantee that every figure is correct or suitable for your particular job.

To the extent permitted by law, MaterialMath is not liable for loss arising from use of this site, including material ordered in the wrong quantity. You remain responsible for what you buy and for how it is used.
